Purpose: The purpose was to create an eLearning module based on the ASSURE instructional design model using a rapid eLearning development tool.
Identification of learners, context, and content: The learners for this module are high school students in an English 4 class. The class is reading the novel, Brave New World. A major aspect of the novel is the rigid caste system. In order to understand the relationships between characters as well as one of the essential themes in the novel about society and class, learners must understand the caste system that Huxley creates in the novel.

This was an interactive module that provided a more in-depth description of the caste system Aldous Huxley uses in his dystopian novel, Brave New World. The model begins with a definition of a caste system and the characteristics of a caste system. The module then identifies each of the five castes in the novel and provides specific details related to each caste. The module concludes with a quiz to check the learner's understanding.
